OPENING PRAYER:.....

......................Rev. Charles Mayhew

CALL TO WORSHIP:....

Leader: Steady our steps, O God, as we travel the journey set before us.

People: Let us walk in the way of light and
pursue the path of peace.

Leader: Keep us on your course of life as we seek to be faithful.

People: And as we gather to praise you, our
faithful Lord and God.

ALL: We here at UHPC have come to

worship God!

HYMN 1:....  "How Great Thy Art"

PRAYER FOR CONFESSION:. (In Unison)

Almighty God, who art rich in mercy to all
those who call upon Thee: hear us as we come to Thee humbly confessing our sins and transgressions, and imploring Thy mercy and forgiveness. We confess that we have sought to live for ourselves, not reaching out to others and honoring the divine image in all your children.

We confess before Thee our disobedience and ingratitude, our pride and willfulness; and our failures and shortcomings toward Thee and toward our siblings.

Forgive us, we pray. In your abundant mercy
give us the grace to be your church,
confessing our faults, offering forgiveness and working for reconciliation.

Turn our hearts to your intentions that we
may hold fast to one another and draw near

to your presence. Have mercy upon us, most
merciful Father; and hear our prayer,

(Time for Silent Confession), Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON:

Friends, in Jesus Christ, we have been fed
God’s grace and redemption. And that
redemption gives us the strength to love our
neighbors near and far, proclaiming in our
words and deeds: In Jesus Christ, we are
forgiven.

GLORIA PATRI: .......................(In Unison)

Glory be to Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.  Amen. Amen.

PASSING THE PEACE:

Leader: Since God has forgiven us in Christ, let us forgive one another. The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you.

People: And peace be with you also.

“ I’VE GOT PEACE LIKE RIVER”.

I've got PEACE like a river (3Xs) in my soul - repeat

I've got JOY like a fountain(3Xs) in my soul - repeat
I've got LOVE like an ocean(3Xs) in my soul- repeat

we want to see Jesus,
to reach out and touch him,
and say that we love him.

Open our ears, Lord,
and help us to listen.
Open our eyes, Lord,
we want to see Jesus.

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION:,,(In Unison)

O God, what the world says and what you say are often at odds. Set before us now your
truth as we hear your Word and as we
respond in faithful trust. Amen.

Invitation & Welcome to the Lord’s Table:
Communion Hymn:... “Let Us Break Bread”                                                   #513

1. Let us break bread together on our knees; (on our knees;) Let us break bread together on our knees. (on our knees.) When I fall on my knees, With my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy on me. (on me.)

2. Let us drink wine together on our knees; (on our knees;) Let us drink wine together on our knees. (on our knees.) When I fall on my knees, With my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy on me. (on me.)

3. Let us praise God together on our knees; (on our knees;) Let us praise God together on our knees. (on our knees.) When I fall on my knees, With my face to the rising sun, O Lord, have mercy (on me.)

COMMUNION PRAYER:
Friends: This is the joyful feast of the people of God! People will come from east and, west and from north and south and sit at table in the kingdom of God. This is the Lord's Table. Our Savior invites those
who trust him to share the feast which he has prepared.

P: The Lord be with you.
C: And also with you.
P: Lift up your hearts!
C: We lift them up to the Lord.
P: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
C: For it is holy and right to do so.

P: Holy and right it is, and our joyful duty to give thanks to you at all times and in all places, O Lord our Creator, almighty and everlasting God! You created Heaven with all its hosts and the earth with all its plenty. You have given us Life and being and
preserved us by your providence. But you have shown us the fullness of your love in sending into the world your Son, Jesus Christ, the eternal Word made flesh for us and for our salvation. For the precious gift of this mighty Savior who has reconciled us to you, we praise and bless you, O God.
With your whole Church on earth and with all the company of heaven, we worship and adore your glorious name. Great and wonderful are your works, Lord God Almighty. Your ways are just and true.
With people of faith, from all times and places, we lift our hearts in joyful praise, for you alone are holy.

All: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts!
Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
Hosanna in the highest! Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!

P: Most righteous God, we remember in this Supper the perfect sacrifice offered once on the cross by our Lord Jesus Christ for the sin of the whole world. In the joy of his resurrection and in expectation of his
coming again, we offer ourselves to you as holy and living sacrifices. Together we proclaim the mystery of the faith:

All: Christ has died! Christ is risen! Christ will come again.

P: Holy Father, we thank you for your Son, Jesus, who lived with us sharing joy and sorrow. He told your story, healed the sick, and was a friend of sinners. Obeying you, he took up his cross and was murdered by men and women he loved. We praise you that he is not dead but is risen to rule the'world; and that he is still the friend of sinners. We
trust him to overcome every power to hurt or divide us, so that, when you bring in your promised Kingdom, we will celebrate victory with him. Remembering the Lord Jesus, we break bread and share one cup, announcing his death for the sins of
the world, and telling of his resurrection to all people and nations.

P: At this time brothers and sisters, please lift your bread or crackers as I continue: The Lord Jesus, on the night of his arrest, took bread and after giving thanks to God, broke it and said; "This is my body,
which is for you; do this in remembrance of me." Ministering in his name, I offer this bread to you. In the same way, he took the cup after supper, and said: "This cup is the new covenant sealed in my blood, whenever you drink it, do this, remembering me." Ministering in his name, I offer this cup to you. Every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. P: Jesus said, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never be hungry; he who believes in me shall
never thirst." Jesus said, "I am the vine, you are the branches. Cut off from me you can do nothing." The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Let the Church say, Amen.

P: Bless the Lord O my soul;
C: And all that is within me, bless His Holy name!

UNISON: Alleluia! For the Lord our God - The
Almighty has come into His Kingdom! Let us rejoice, let us be glad with all our hearts. Let us give Him the glory for ever and ever. Amen

HYMN 1:.."How Great Thy Art"

[Verse 1]

O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed

[Refrain]
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

[Verse 2]
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze

[Refrain]
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
